Virtual Reconstruction of Flavia Solva

Virtual reconstruction of Flavia Solva, a Late Antiquity Roman town situated on the western banks of the Mur river. It belonged to the Roman province of Noricum and nowadays is close to the modern cities of Wagna and Leibnitz (Styria, Austria).
For this project not only the Roman settlement has been reconstructed, but also an impressive graveyard with a tumuli area as well as a fluvial port.
Additionally, the ancient landscape was reconstructed too, including the "limitatio" or "centuriatio", also known as Roman grid, which was a method of land measurement used by the Romans.
This project has been carried out in collaboration with 7reasons Medien GmbH for the Austrian Academy of Science.
